What You Can Do To Make Sure Your Vote Counts

The Denver Clerk & Recorder in partnership with the Denver Press Club will convene a panel of elections experts to discuss the impact of recent federal policy and legislative proposals that could restrict voting access and fundamentally disrupt the gold standard mail ballot voting model Colorado has worked diligently to create over the past two decades. Intended to provide a deeper understanding for journalists, the panel will be moderated by Denver Clerk & Recorder Paul Lopez, and includes representatives from the Denver Elections Division, Secretary of State’s Office, and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

This important community discussion will focus on how current election laws protect voters, what safeguards are already in place to ensure secure elections, and how legislation such as the SAVE Act could pose new risks to the integrity and accessibility of the electoral process.
