April Salon - Newspaper War

Denver's newspaper war lasted over 100 years and was among the last great newspaper battles in the country. At its worst, the owner of The DenverPost beat the owner of the Rocky Mountain News with a cane on his way to work. At its best, each paper pushed the other to do award-winning journalism.
