Photo Night: Kevin Mohatt

Kevin Mohatt is an independent freelance photojournalist who works with a range of local, national and international news outlets including Reuters, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal and The Denver Post. His photographs have been selected as top pictures and photos of the year by The Guardian, NBC, CNN, The Denver Post and Reuters. In 2019, he was recognized with an award at the Eddie Adams Workshop.

Recently, Kevin has been called to work in Washington, D.C. where he has covered major news events such as the Russian prisoner swap, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s NATO visit and Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s Middle East trip to push for a ceasefire in Gaza. He has also been on the campaign trail covering Vice President Kamala Harris since before President Biden’s announcement to leave the race.

In addition to covering politics, Kevin works on in-depth stories including a long-term project  about the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs where he was able to gain unique access to follow two cadets throughout their time at the academy. To see Kevin’s work, visit https://kevinmohatt.com/
